The Sister’s Promise

The words, Humanity, Dignity, Fortitude and Sacrifice, are inscribed on a memorial statue, north of Trafalgar Square in London that commemorates Edith Cavell, a nurse executed for counts of treason during WW1. The Sister’s Promise is a performance in collaboration with prostitutes to create a series of sculptures made from large tablets of soap, engraved with the words, Humanity, Dignity Fortitude and Sacrifice.
